Expert Psychosocial Evaluations and Immigration Reports
How do I refer my client for an evaluation?
Attorney Information and Referral Form
If your client needs a psychosocial evaluation for their immigration case, we offer detailed, research-based reports to support their case. Since 2014, we’ve specialized in Hardship Waivers, Cancellation of Removal, Adjustment of Status, VAWA, U-Visas, T-Visas, Asylum, and more.
Each report is personalized to your client’s situation, with flexible payment options available. Our bilingual team, fluent in English and Spanish, collaborates closely with immigration attorneys to ensure reports are legally sound and aligned with the latest guidelines.
Our Clinical Director holds the Diagnostic Privilege in New York, effective June 24, 2024, allowing us to independently diagnose mental, emotional, behavioral, developmental, and addictive disorders. It's important to note that without this Diagnostic Privilege, Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHCs) cannot provide a formal diagnosis, which could present significant challenges, especially in immigration court cases.
Contact us today to learn how we can support your client's immigration case with expert evaluations.

What is the evaluation process?
Clients receive comprehensive assistance throughout the evaluation process. Our bilingual team, fluent in English and Spanish, ensures clear communication. Upon agreement to proceed, clients complete consent forms and are provided with appointment dates.
The initial sessions focus on information gathering and psychosocial history, with options for in-person or online appointments. If additional details or documents are required, follow-up appointments are scheduled.
During the final sessions, the evaluation is reviewed, any diagnosis is explained, and tailored recommendations are provided. The final report is submitted to the attorney after the evaluation is complete and all client payments have been processed.
For any necessary adjustments to the evaluation, contact us at info@discoverymhc.com. We are committed to collaborating with you to meet your client's needs.
If you require virtual testimony for the client’s court date, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can reserve the date and schedule a review session if needed. Virtual testimony is provided at no extra cost to the client.
Affordable Options and Flexible Payment Plans
Our reports adhere to the highest standards of assessment and ethics within the mental health field. We are committed to providing these essential services at affordable prices to a broader audience.
For clients needing flexibility with report deadlines, we offer payment plans extending up to six months from the initial start date. Any discounts that are available are offered to clients during their initial call with us.
Our emergency evaluation currently represents the most cost-effective option available. Additionally, we provide a sliding scale for clients receiving low-bono or pro-bono services from their attorneys. If you believe your client may benefit from this sliding scale, please inform us about the financial assistance options you are currently offering them. We will make every effort to work within those parameters.
